Coalition of U.S. Cities for Immigrants

The Coalition of U.S. Cities for Immigrants is a national, cross-jurisdictional network that unites municipalities, cities, and counties dedicated to building stronger, more inclusive communities for immigrant, refugee, and international residents. Through shared learning, collaborative planning, and coordinated policy leadership, the Coalition empowers local governments to expand resources, improve public services, and implement effective strategies that promote safety, belonging, and opportunity for all residents.

The Coalition supports members in strengthening local infrastructures—from legal and social-service referrals to workforce pathways, language access, community engagement, and public safety initiatives. By convening city leaders, county officials, community partners, and subject-matter experts, we create a platform for exchanging best practices and developing scalable models that advance equitable access to education, healthcare, housing, and economic mobility.

Our work also includes developing policy toolkits, providing technical assistance, facilitating data-informed decision-making, and supporting local advocacy efforts that uplift immigrant voices. Through this collaborative framework, the Coalition helps jurisdictions respond to emerging challenges, build long-term systems of support, and champion policies that ensure immigrant and refugee residents can fully participate and thrive. Together, we are cultivating a national movement of local governments committed to building welcoming, inclusive communities—one city, one county, and one partnership at a time.
